Pre-Children Day Celebration

Today school hours is shorter from 8.30am to 10am cos we are celebrating Children's Day. We had games session in the Multi-Purpose Hall and were rewarded with prizes. For lunch, Daddy & Mummy brought us out. Daddy is on full-day leave cos he brought big big Gong Gong for his medical check-up in the morning. Mummy took the chance to go on half-day leave.
We headed to Cineleisure @ Billy Bombers cos Mummy had a $15 discount voucher which is expiring today 30th Sep, and it can only be used in their outlet in Cineleisure Orchard. I ordered a Beef Bolognoise Spaghetti Kids Set to share with meimei. After lunch, we went to Takashimaya cos I told Daddy, I want to shop for Mummy's present. But, its meant to be a surprise for Mummy, so Daddy brought me to shop for Mummy's gift while Mummy & meimei went to shop for Lucas' didi present in the Toys Department. After 45mins later, we meet up again and headed home.

Chef @ Work

Today, besides the usual lessons that both meimei & I have to attend, we were home. Daddy & Mummy were feeling lazy to hit the mall, cos its the F1 weekend. - road closure everywhere. So, for dinner, Daddy decided to put on his chef hat and do his cooking.
His menu for today is
- Soup : Broccoli
- Main : Spaghetti with Bacon
Grilled Chicken Thigh with home-made BBQ sauce

The BBQ sauce is specially prepared by GuGu, a bit spicy for me. So Daddy honey-glazed my chicken thigh instead and its yummy!
Stay tune to the next time, my daddy puts on his Chef Hat.

To the Zoo

Thereafter, we caught the 10.30am show "Rainforest Fights Back" at the Shaw Amphitheatre. Then we walked to the Fragile Forest to see butterflies and finally to the KidsWorld to ride on the pony before heading back to the entrance.
Its been 4 months since the last trip to the zoo. The last time was on 1st May and together with my usual khaki - Aidan, Esther & Cedric. Aunty HY managed to get hold of 2 passes and we are going there again today. Hold on tight.....we are moving in!
But wait, let me and meimei check out the map first....well, Mummy proposed that we check out the Australian Outback since we never been there and then to catch the 10.30am show at Shaw Amphitheatre.
We saw a lot of animals along the way like Otter, Babirusa, Hippo, fishes, white tiger as well as elephants. Look at this huge footprint. It belongs to Komali who is an elephant in the zoo. His footprint is so big that even after Aidan, Esther & I placed our foot on it, there's still spaces all around.

Thank you, Aunty HY for the pass. We really had a great time! Next time, we go to the Kidzworld, ok!

Playdate with Kimi

Then a big plate of horsestring fries appear......so we stopped all games and sat on the table to enjoy our fries. Daddy is cooking grilled sole with fries. Meimei & I didnt eat at all while Kimi finished her whole plate. Daddy was so happy.

After the mooncake making session, Kimi requested to come over my place to play. Since we are not going out and will be having dinner at home, Mummy invited her over and Aunty Peggy agreed to let us "baby-sit" a while too. Hooray!! We got each other for company to at least 9pm.
First of all, we played "Restaurant City" with Kimi & I took turns to be chef, waitress and Mummy is our customer. Mummy will ordered some dishes, while Kimi will have to cook and I will serve to Mummy. Meimei joined in the game as well until we got bored and went to play Wii Fit. We got Kimi to try the Hoola Hoop and she really enjoyed it.

Snowskin Mooncake Workshop
Today's afternoon program is very special cos I am heading to Cheng San CC to learn snowskin mooncake together with my bestie - Kimi as well as her cousin - Emma and Ruiying. Aunty Peggy knew about this course from her friend and "chio" Mummy to bring me there. The course is from 3-5.30pm and it cost $30 each. We also got to bring our own apron and mooncake mould.
Well, before the class starts, Kimi & I took some pictures together.
Then, the pastry chef introduced himself as Chef Jimmy and he passed us a paper each and told us to write the word - Mooncake. Then, we got to write 75gm, 80gm, 33gm and 75ml on the paper.... Mummy then helped me to write the ingredients as follows:
Then Chef Jimmy told us to practice putting the dough into the mould and try to hit it out by the banging the sides against the table. Then after we mastered the skill, he passed us some of the green tea fillings and we got to split the fillings and snowskin proportionally but based on our mould size. For the mould I chose, we got to prepare 26g of snowskin and 40g of fillings. Then Mummy helped to cover the fillings completely with the snowskin and TA DA!! This is how my mooncake looks like....nice??

Playdate at Athena's
After Aunty Steph's Music lesson today, instead of going home, Jonathon, Esther & myself are going to Athena's place. Aunty Mel has kindly invited us over for lunch and playdate. Daddy & Mummy then swopped places....Mummy followed me to Athena's house while Daddy brought meimei for an afternoon of fun.
After having our lunch (fried rice & chicken wing), we headed to Athena's room to play with her toys. We also did pretend play - a store selling fish soup. It was so fun! We stayed on to play till 5pm when meimei, Irvin and Megan (Jonathon's sister) finished their music lesson.
Thank you, Uncle Kevin, Aunty Mel for opening their house for an afternoon of fun.

September School Holiday
Sep School Holiday is almost coming to an end - no playdates yet but thankfully, Mummy is away from work today and will be bringing us out. Best of all, we are meeting up with Aunty KC, Ruiying and Ruixin, Aunty Mel, Athena and Irvin too, and we are going to East Coast Park. Initial plan is to go to Polliwogs cos' it was still drizzling when we left home.
But, when we reached the beach, the weather has cleared up and it was really nice and windy. Best of all, the sand was perfect for making sandcastle. So, we rolled up our jeans, took off our shoes and headed to play with the sand.
Mummy, Aunty KC & Aunty Mel had their little picnic while we continue playing with the sand. After almost an hour later, we clean up and have our own mini picnic too...but first, group photo....say cheeze.

We got changed to new sets of clothings and then hand-in-hand, we walked back to the car cos we are all heading to Parkway Parade @ Fish & Co for dinner.
