So fast.....its Sunday!

Daddy always like to say this sentence when Sunday is here......and I always agreed. Why cant weekend be 3 or 4 days.....why only 2 days? I want to spend more time with Daddy and Mummy leh. Well, we woke up much later this morning (compared to yesterday) and after Erna jiejie gave me my bath and cleaning up the house, we headed to "The Prata Place" at Sembawang for brunch with Ah Gong & Erna jiejie. Daddy had Mutton Briyani, Mummy shared a Large size Chicken Murtabak with the rest, Ah Gong had plain and egg prata and Erna jiejie had Nasi Goreng......while I had a small piece of cracker (what do you call it?). But luckily, Mummy did packed me some snacks and my favourite drink - yakult so I was willing to sit in the high-chair for a little while.

After makan, we headed home cos we need to drop off Ah Gong and Erna jiejie before heading to Hougang Green. Daddy & Mummy say that they need to look for another helper cos meimei is coming out soon....actually still got about 9 weeks lah. But becos if they cannot find any suitable transfer maid, they will need about 1 month for the new helper to come out from Indonesia which means she will only be at GongGong's house in early Oct. So must start looking for one now......
After walking around about 6-7 agencies, I felt so tired.....I just fell asleep on Daddy's shoulder. When I finally woke up (after 45mins), we were back to the first agency when we first arrived which is also the same agency we got Erna jiejie. At that time, it was already 5pm, the closing time for the agency. Daddy & Mummy seemed to have pre-selected one of the jiejie but becos of certain documents, they are not able to sign on the spot. Mummy will have to come back tomorrow again. But looks like I will be having another jiejie to look after me pretty soon at GongGong's house. Look how happy I am...
For dinner, we arranged to meet up with MaMa. And then we headed to Uncle Jason's house cos we were really nearby. I met up with cousin Xavia and I can see that Daddy & Mummy were really impressed with him. He was able to recite A to Z, 1 to 10 in English, Mandarin and Malay languages. I know I am no way near his speech ability. But dun worry, I will start talking once I feel confident that you adults understand what I am saying.......patience!! Anyway, I had fun playing with cousin Xavia and hope he can pop by to GongGong's house soon so we can play together.

Vil'age Restaurant @ The Heeren

Upon reaching home, Daddy gave me my much-needed bath. Feeling fresh and clean, I played for a while before knocking off for my afternoon nap. And after I woke up at 4+, all of us went out again. We headed for Orchard cos Mummy wanted to get some toiletries and baby stuff from John Little. (There were having 20% discount for cardmembers.) After getting the stuff and putting them into the car, we headed for dinner. Daddy noticed this weird color-looking cows outside The Heeren with label stating "Vil'age Restaurant" and it was offering special dinner set at $10.80 for UOB cardmembers, so we decided to give it a try.
But, before we headed to the restaurant at the basement, I noticed a fountain near the escalator. Look how happy I am when Daddy placed me at the edge. But hor, I tell you.....I was really lucky cos if I was just 1 min late, I will be totally wet. The fountain flew skyhigh just when Daddy, Mummy & myself left the fountain for the escalator....phew.
We reached "Vil'age Restaurant" and there was this little cow or do you call it calf sitting at the entrance. Dun you tik it look cute with its glasses on? So Mummy insists I take a pix with it. We were then ushered to a table and given 3 cards which we can used to take our orders. Daddy & Mummy each ordered a set dinner @ $10.80 which comes with a bowl of soup, a plate of salad, main course and a dessert. Mummy ordered a bread for me @ $1.50 and all of us shared a small thin-crusted pizza @ $9.90 too. Yummy!
East Coast Park Picnic

This morning, Mummy woke me up really early at 8am. Usually after my morning milk feed, I will go back to sleep but this morning, Mummy insisted that I wake up and even got Daddy to change me out from my pyjamas (without my bath). And we left the house at 8.50am. Where are we going? We are heading to East Coast Park cos Mummy has arranged a picnic session with my friends. But before that, we headed to Hougang Mall to get some mini breads from Four Leaves. And at 10am, we reached East Coast Park. But the turnout is only Athena, Rhyan, bb Irvin and myself. According to Mummy, Gabriel couldnt come cos he is down with fake measles, Esther is sick too and Aunty Serene had sprained her back. Hope all of them feels well soon so we can meet up very soon.
Well, I was not really warmed up when we first arrived, so I was sticking myself to Daddy the whole time...
Until after a few milk bread and drink, I felt more energized and was willing to leave Daddy's comfort zone and started to walk around.
Then, Rhyan took out his favourite ball and Athena, myself and Rhyan started playing together....we bounced, threw and spinned the ball to one another. We had so much fun until Aunty Sherlyn says its time for Rhyan to go home for his nap and lunch. So sad! Aunty Sherlyn did suggest leaving the ball behind for Athena and myself but Daddy says its time for us to go home too. "Rhyan, thanks for bringing the ball and sharing with us, Mummy says she will remember to bring mine along the next time we have our picnic. By then, you got to teach me how to spin the ball, okie"

To the Library...

Mummy is on morning shift this week, which means she finished work at 4.30pm. Daddy's scheduled early day is every Wednesday(at 5pm) and today, he managed to leave office early and both of them came to fetch me from GongGong's house at 5.15pm. I was so surprised to see them so early that I kept jumping with excitement. Without taking my evening bath (cos Mummy says she want to bring me to the playground) and dinner (cos I will be eating dinner with Daddy/Mummy), we set off for Compass Point. And yes, we headed to the library. I browsed through a few interesting books and even had fun running around in circles...
After staying in the library for about an hour, we went back home and headed to the playground near the Prime Supermarket. But this time round, I was not that keen in playing....cos I havent had my dinner lah. So after about 2-3 rounds of up and down the slide, I wanted Daddy to carry me. Seeing that I will not want to continue playing, Daddy & Mummy decided to head to the coffee shop for our dinner. I shared a plate of fried rice with Mummy while Daddy had his plate of dry hor-fan. Then it was home sweet home for my bath and an early night rest.

Singapore Botanical Garden Picnic

This morning, Mummy woke me up early at 9am cos she was hungry and wanted to catch the Cafe Cartel breakfast which ends at 11am. Mummy made the bed, prepared my bath but I was still lying on the bed, refused to move. At 9.40am, I finally woke up after much pestering from Mummy and Daddy. We reached Cafe Cartel @ Bishan at 10.30am......Daddy ordered a Corn beef Delight and Mummy had Pancake Delight and I had the free flow of bread, pancakes from Mummy, tomato from Daddy and yogurt which Mummy brought from home. Yummy!

After makan, we headed home cos Mummy sensed that I should be wanting my afternoon nap soon since I woke up early today. For the record, I usually wake up only at 10.30am or 11am and my afternoon nap are from 4pm to 6pm. But becos we are having a picnic cum gathering at Botanical Garden with my friends, Mummy wanted me to have an early afternoon nap. True enough, after watching my Barney VCDs for a while, I drifted off to my dreamland at 1+ and woke up only at 3+. Perfect timing cos Daddy & Mummy had just finished preparing the sandwiches for the picnic. Daddy changed me while Mummy got ready and we finally set off at 4pm. And after parking at the wrong entrance @ Tanglin and routing to the right entrance @ Nassim, we met up with the rest at the Visitor Centre at 5pm. There was Uncle Ben, Aunty Kelly, Gabriel and Edward.....Uncle Kevin, Aunty Melisa, Athena and Irvin.....Uncle Kerk, Aunty Chris and Faye....Uncle NS, Aunty HY and Esther. According to Mummy, there should be 10 of my friends, so the adults decided to walk to the picnic area while we waited for the rest. The adults helped to set up the mat, lay down the food and not longer later, the rest of my friends arrived. All in all, there are Athena, Esther, Faye, Gabriel, Justin, Quinn, Rhyan, Jean, Luke (Mummy apologised for not taking his pix) and Cindy who came much later. And of course, not forgetting bbs Irvin and Edward.
All of us had so much fun running around the park, playing with balls, dogs, feeding the turtles, fishes and just munching on the food. By 7pm, the sky was getting dark and the adults started packing up their bags. Some headed home but Daddy, Mummy, Uncle Ben and Aunty Kelly wanted to have drinks so we headed to Tanglin Mall @ Macdonalds. And yes, Gabriel & I had our yummy French Fries (without salt). I had fun today. Looking forward to my next outing with my friends.

To the Airport ...

For brunch today, we headed to the Changi Airport cos Mummy wanted to try the stall @ Rex Satay located at Terminal 2, who has appeared in the "Lost & Found Makan Places @ Channel 5". Mummy had Gado Gado and Satay, Daddy had a plate of mixed Chinese Rice and I shared a plate of Chicken Rice with Mummy. Verdict: Mummy says the Gado Gado and Satay sauce yummy, worth the try.

After food, of course is exercise time......look how much fun I had...

Then we had our rest at "The Coffee Bean" while Daddy had his cup of Ice-Mocha, before heading home for my afternoon nap.

My embarrasing momentz.....
Mummy finished work early today at 7pm cos she had conference call in the morning. So, for dinner, Daddy, Mummy suggested going to Bugis Junction - Sketches. After the hearty meal of some chicken, bread, carrot soup and ice-cream, I was feeling lazy and decided to rest on the TCC Cafe carpeted floor and refused to move. Daddy seeing that the hair salon may be closing soon, started walking away from me.....Mummy too. But, I still removed to move, even wave goodbye at them. After a good 2 mins, feeling refreshed......I stand up and started walking towards them who are not far away......but then at this moment, my diapers slipped off from my butt and landed on the floor. I was wearing a skirt lah and Daddy never bring my panties along when he picked me up from GongGong's plc. So imagine the scene, my diaper (which is heavy cos I drank lotsa water during dinner) landed in between my legs and I cant move cos its obstructing me. Daddy and Mummy who is at least 10 steps away from me, saw the scene.....started laughing. Daddy quickly walked towards me and took the diaper away while Mummy carried me away from the awkard moment and we headed to the car to get the new diaper. A lot of passerby saw the scene and was laughing away........so paiseh.

Double Eyelid...

Mummy noticed since this morning, I have a double eye-lid on my left eye. And it was still there on Sunday.....did you see it? Swee bor? Well, wonder if my double eye-lid is here to stay for good....but if only one-side, not very nice hor..

Sunday...Sunday...

Weekends are meant to sleep late....and thats what we did today again. We woke up only at 11am. For makan, we headed to Golden Mile Market for brunch. Mummy has been wanting to eat the "Fried-Guo-Tiao" from one of the stall and finally she get a wish. Daddy had prawn noodles while I had a plate of chicken rice all by myself (I finished the chicken and half plate of rice).
Then we headed to Suntec - Carrefour to get our groceries. You must be tiking why go all the way to Suntec to get groceries.....well, Daddy has the POSB Everyday card, so for every item purchased at Carrefour, we are entitled to 5% cash rebate. Quite a good deal leh.
After shopping, we headed home cos its almost time for my nap liao. As for dinner, Daddy is cooking spaghetti. I will get to try some. I have always like cherry tomatoes but dun noe if I will mind tomato-based spaghetti. Anyway, Mummy & I has a short nap while Daddy went to Ah-Gong's house to prepare dinner for us. The dinner was yummy but I didnt really fancy so only ate a little bit.
Seeing that it was still early, Mummy suggested to bring me to a playground behind Prime Supermarket. Its been so so long since I played on a slide. But once I am on it, I had no trouble going on and down myself without help. Mummy caught me in action too....but paiseh, she has filmed in non-portrait mode, so you got to tilt your head to watch.
Thats how I spent my Sunday........looking forward to next Sunday cos I will be meeting up with my friends.

Weekend is here....

Yes....it means we sleep in later than usual and woke up only at 11am. Well, for today's makan, we dun need to crack our heads, cos GongGong has told us to go his place for lunch. GongGong has prepared duck, chicken, fish, veg and a pot of yummy chicken soup. (He had gone to pay respect to my great-grandparents lah) After makan, we drove down to Sim Lim Sq cos Daddy has helped Erna jiejie to buy a handphone via auction and we are collecting it from there. Before we head home, we routed to GongGong's place again to collect some leftovers so we can eat for dinner. Looks like Daddy & Mummy can save on meals today.
It was a really lazy Saturday afternoon for Daddy, Mummy and me....all of us had a good nap and woke up only at 6plus to eat the leftovers for dinner. Then, Daddy contemplated whether to go to watch the fireworks cos tonite is the last nite liao by the team from Italy. Mummy was not really interested in going and Daddy was lazy to drive there and me....not really that keen in watching, so we decided to stay at home instead.
But, Mummy needs to get her contact lense and Daddy wants to check out some cars at a roadshow, so we drove down to Rivervale Plaza. While there, Daddy spotted a CD shop selling Barney VCDs at $1.90 per piece or 3 for $5. So Daddy without tiking grabbed 5 Barney VCDs and 1 Hi-5 VCD for me. And best of all, I found my favourite - Barney Learning to Play School. I used to have this but it was spolit so, threw away. So once home, without thinking twice, that VCD was the first one I watched and my eyes were all glued on the TV thru'out....even when Mummy tried to distract me, I didnt move a single bit....
Well, thats all I did on a Saturday.....boring rite. Hope Sunday will be fun.

Daddy & Mummy on leave again.....

Yes, my 2 favourite persons in my life are on leave today and with no calls from Daddy's office to disturb us, we slept until 11am then wake up. So shiok! For brunch, Mummy suggested going to Accord Hotels since she has their membership and we can dined for 50% discount. Mummy made phonecalls to Novotel @ Liang Court and Roxy Square @ Marine Parade and decided on going to THE SQUARE @ Novotel.

While Daddy & Mummy enjoyed their buffet, I make-do with bread, fried rice, fruits and yummy strawberry dipped in white chocolate.

After makan, we headed to small grandaunt's plc for swim. Its been so long since I had my swim and I really enjoyed myself wholeheartedly and refused to get out of the pool till at least 1hr later.

You can click the link below to see me in action....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrGRPtJZiyI

Then, while waiting for Erna jiejie to finish cleaning small grandaunt's plc, I had some fun at the playground.
At 5.30pm, we were on our way home...., So tired.... I want my nap soon. Mummy says after I wake up from my nap, we are going to Gabriel's house cos Uncle Ben has helped me to get new Barney VCDs. Yipee! More to my collection. Thank you, Uncle Ben.

NDP Picnic cum Gathering

Its Singapore's 41st Bday today and is a public holiday, which means Daddy & Mummy are both not working. I just love it when both of them are home with me. After waking up at 10plus and washing up, we headed to Hougang Mall ~ Hans for our brunch. Then we went to Bengawan Solo to get some cakes & pastries for this afternoon picnic. Yes, its picnic time again......to watch fireworks.

After we got home, Daddy & Mummy have been trying to make me nap but I simply refused to close my eyes. I toss and turn on their bed and before I know it, its already 3.30pm and Mummy says, we got to get ready to go out liao. So bo-pian, no nap this afternoon.....For today's picnic, we brought Yiyi, Ah Gong and Erna jiejie along with us too.
We managed to reach the picnic place at 4.40pm and by then, there was already a huge crowd (almost 3/4 more than on the NDP Preview Day) but luckily, Daddy managed to find a lot to park his car. We walked back to the same spot as the NDP preview day and lay down our stuff while we waited for the rest of my friends to come.
My friends who came for the picnic.....Cindy, Gabriel, Jean and Ruiying

Well, becos I didnt hve my afternoon nap, so I was extremely grouchy. Luckily, Daddy didnt park his car too far, so he brought me back into the car, ON the aircon and I managed to catch about 35mins of power nap. Better than nothing. At 6plus, I went back to join the group and had some of the picnic food. At about 7plus, the helicopter carrying our National Flag finally flew past. Everyone at the park cheered.

At 7.45pm, the first fireworks flew up into the sky. It was really beautiful and Mummy managed to capture some of the great shots. But from the pic below, it looks more like colourful lightning hor.
And at 8.15pm, the finale fireworks flew up into the sky and marked the ending of the show as well as the picnic..
Before we leave the place, we managed to take a group pix (less Ruiying as they have left earlier) as well as my family pix. Looking forward to the next picnic.
Happy 41st Birthday,
Singapore

My favourite pastimes....

When I am not watching Barney or Hi-5, this is my favourite activity~ Fixing wooden puzzle. Daddy bought me this wooden puzzle about a few months ago and I have been playing once a while. Nobody teaches me where to place the puzzle.....but recently, I surprised everyone by removing all the puzzles and placing it back to the original place without any help. And I really enjoyed doing it and getting all the praises......heheheh.

Lazy Sunday....

Since I slept so late last nite, it was not until 12pm that I woke up........and its always so nice that Daddy & Mummy are both home when I open my eyes. Both of them also just woke up......What a lazy Sunday! After lazing in bed for another 30mins, then all of us decided to get up and take shower and find ourselves lunch. While Daddy got ready, Mummy played hide-and-seek with me and got a few snapshots of me.....Do I look nice in skirts?
Well, for lunch, Mummy suggested going to Plaza Singapura and instead of driving there, she decided to give the car a break and all of us take LRT/MRT there. Of coz, I am all with the idea. I always love to take public transport.
For makan, we had Swensens cos they are having promotion....for every pasta or main course, you can get Yam, Coconut or Mango Sundaes for only 41cents. And the restaurant manager even gave me 2 balloons and party hat. Do I look nice in it?
After our late lunch which ended almost at 4pm, Daddy sensed that I may be off to my dreamland soon, suggested that Daddy & Mummy catch a movie. Cos HSBC is having a promotion on every $30 spent, we are entitled to go for a few items for only $1 such as Golden Village movie ticket, Sakae Sushi Bento Set and Gelare Ice-Cream.....if we present a return SMS and the charge slip. Mummy had used her HSBS card yesterday and Daddy had used his during our Swensen meal. So, both of them decided to redeem the GV ticket for $1 each....and watch "The Fast & The Furious - Tokyo Drift". And what perfect timing it is, once we stepped into the cinema, Daddy patted me a while and I was off to my dreamland......and with the noise from the movie, it did not even stir me a single bit....and only after 2 hours (right after the movie), then I woke up. After dinner at Carl's Jr, we headed home.

Saturday, August 05, 2006

Weekend is here....

This morning, I woke up early at 9am and Yiyi suggested going to Lor Ah Soo market for breakfast. Just nice, Daddy wanted to eat the Kuay Chap too, so after my bath and milk, we are off to the market. I had some of the "Cai-tao-tiao", a bit of Kuay Chap and half-cup of Soya Bean drink. The weather was really hot, so after breakfast, we went back home to rest. As we had no plans for the afternoon, Daddy, Mummy & I all took an afternoon nap. At 4plus, I woke up and Mummy was worried that I may be hungry since I ate so little during breakfast. She microwaved the mini pizzas that she had ordered and I had 2 all by myself. It was really yummy.
In the evening, Daddy, Mummy, Gonggong and Erna jiejie (with me of coz), we headed to Suntec City cos Mummy needed to get some groceries from Carrefour. For dinner, we went to Muthu's Curry. Daddy has been wanting to try their fish-head curry for the longest time. Everything they sell is hot and spicy but I was happy with the plate of white rice and a few papadam, and the view of the fountain.
After a hearty meal for the adults, we went to shop. Erna jiejie and GongGong each bought a new pair of new slippers. And Daddy bought me a new slippers too - Its a Crocs. Its really comfortable.
After shopping, we headed to Carrefour to get all the groceries needed at home. Then we headed to the carpark. But there was a really really long queue of cars trying to get out and some cars are even horning. Daddy asked one of the Carrefour staff at the carpark and he told us that there was a massive jam at Marina Square due to the Singapore Fireworks Festival. Tonite was by the team from Italy. Seeing that it may take us at least about 45mins before we can exit the carpark, Mummy suggested going to MacDonald for a drink.
At 11.30pm, we headed back to the carpark and the queue was much better. In about few mins, we are out of the carpark and on the way home. And it was only 1am that I fell asleep.

Thursday, August 03, 2006

Mummy ordered mini donuts and mini pizza from http://www.amosco.com.sg/ and tonite, we are collecting them for an auntie staying at Sengkang. Mummy heard that the mini pizza (tomato and cheese flavour) is a favourite among the little ones, so decided to order some for me. She also told Aunty Kelly about it and have bulk-purchase together. And so, Uncle Ben & Gabriel will be coming by to collect from us tonite.
At 9.45pm, Uncle Ben & Gabriel came by and I was so happy to see them. I brought Gabriel to my room, and play the Barney VCDs and both of us had so much fun playing in my room, running around the room, going up and down my bed, while Daddy & Uncle Ben chit-chat.It was only at 11.30pm that Uncle Ben & Gab leave. Wish we can do this more often. I really enjoy Gabriel company.
