Pasar Malam Fun

Anyone looking for Pasar Malam? There's one just under my block and its along Punggol Field and its been here for 2 weeks. Today is the last day and we are going to use up all the game coupons that Mummy has bought for us. The ball game that we enjoy costs $3 each but with the coupon voucher, its cheaper. For each booklet of 10 coupons, we get 1 game free. And we have been playing every alternate night. Its so fun! Meimei even win me in the total score. We have been accumulating the points and will redeem a big prize tonite. We are targetting on the Disney toys, with our total points of 3600, its just enough. Yipee!! Hope the next Pasar Malam comes sooner.

3 + 9 = 12
Today is PePe's birthday and we are celebrating together at his condo with BBQ food and Daddy baked his ever-famous Strawberry Cheesecake. Looks good, right? Its really good......and we managed to cut up 24 slices for everyone with some still taking their 2nd servings. Want to try? Leave a comment......I see when my daddy wants to make again.....I chio u to my house...hehe.

We reached PePe's place at about 4pm and then off to play with all my cousins. PePe also booked the function room so we can all hide inside the aircon room to play.

After BBQing most of the food, we adjourned upstairs to PePe's house for desserts and cake-cutting as well as champagne-popping. I counted the candles and there's 12 in all. PePe is twelve years old!! Happy Birthday and stay youthful always.

Aidan's 5th Party

After piano class today, we headed to UE Square cos Aidan is holding his 5th year old party there. Aunty Catherine has booked a baking session for us with Bakerzin. Its from 1.30pm to 3pm and we will be baking Strawberry Cheesecake. The friends invited for the party are Athena, Esther, Keith, Gabriel and me, of cos. While we are in the room learning to bake, our Mummies & Daddies and meimeis and didis ordered and have their lunches.

1.5hr later, our hard work paid off.....our Strawberry Cheesecake is completed. We were given a certificate for our attendance and best of all, we get to keep our apron and chef hat. I can wear the uniform and helped Daddy when he baked his next cake.

Then, all of us gathered around the birthday cake - Oreo Cheesecake and sing Aidan his birthday song. I really had lotsa fun. Thanks for the invitation and hope you enjoy the present.

March School Holiday

Yipee.....its the March holiday! Mummy took leave today to bring me & meimei to Science Centre. What is fun without my khakis, right? So Mummy arranged with Aunty Pearly to go there together. So happy that I can meet up with M & J soon.....I can pass them the present that we bought in Taiwan.

After dropping Daddy off to work in the morning, we went to pickup Aunty Pearly, Aunty Zaen, Matthew & John up. We reached Science Centre at 10+ and headed to Macdonald for breakfast. Then, its off to Omni-Theatre to catch Imax Movies - Sea Monsters at 12pm. This movie talks about a dolichorhynchops – also known as a ‘dolly’ –as she travels through the most dangerous oceans in history. Along the way, she encounters long-necked plesiosaurs, giant turtles, enormous fish, fierce sharks, and the most dangerous sea monster of all, the mosasaur. Its my first time in the Omni-Theatre and I really enjoy it. During the show, I kept asking Mummy, where is the seat moving? Hehe.

After 40 mins, the show ended and we headed to Science Centre. We stayed around for another hour before heading to Aunty Pearly's country club for a game of bowling.

After bowling, we had our very late lunch at the cafe. The Mee Goreng and Fried Rice are all very yummy. Thank you, Aunty Pearly for the treats today.

Goodbye Taiwan

10 days passed so fast! We will be going home this evening. Our flight is at 1825hrs. Before we checked out, Daddy & Mummy were busy doing the last minute packing. At 12pm, all of us checked out, left our luggage at the hotel lobby and headed to Ximending for our lunch and shopping. Mummy, on the other hand, went alone to WuFenPu to do her last minute shopping. We booked our Freego Bus to airport at 2.45pm, so Mummy got almost 2hrs to shop. I think Mummy is glad that she went, cos when we meet back in the hotel, she has a few bags of shopping bags.....I heard her telling Aunty Catherine and Aunty HY that she managed to buy a total of 12 tops & bottoms for a total of NT 3190, about SGD 145. WuFenPu is really the place to go if you want cheap and nice clothings.
At 3pm, we boarded the Freego bus to the airport and had our early dinner at the airport.
Goodbye Taiwan.......we will be back again!
4hrs and 20mins later, we reached Singapore. After collecting our luggage, its saying goodbye to all my friends whom I am spent for the past 10 days. Hope Daddy & Mummy arranged another holiday with my friends soon.

A day of Shopping.....

Today is dedicated for shopping and since the shopping mall only opened at 10.30am, we all decide to sleep late and only head out to Taipei Main Station at abt 10.30am. We took MRT from Ximen to Taipei Main Station and it cost NT20. Kids below 110cm are free.
When we reached to the Underground Shopping Mall, the shops are not opened yet, so we decided to head to the nearby MacDonald for some snacks first.

At about 12noon, we headed back to the Underground Mall and the shop are opened. We decided to split up and then meet up at 1.30pm for lunch at the Japanese Restaurant at the 2nd floor of Taipei Main Station.
After we finished our lunch, its almost 3pm. Uncle Jeffrey together with Esther's Popo then brought Aidan and Esther back to the hotel room to rest while Uncle NS, Aunty HY, Cedric, Aunty Catherine, Daddy, Mummy, me and meimei continued our 2nd part of shopping. But I have no clue how does the Taipei Metro Mall looks like cos I was sleeping throughout the 2nd part of the shopping. Meimei also has no clue cos she was sleeping in Daddy's arms.......when we reached back to Ximen Station, then both of us woke up. By then, its almost dinner time. Tonite's programme is own-time-own-target so we decided a nearby restaurant for a simple dinner and got Aunty Catherine to bring our shopping bags back to the hotel. The intention is to head to Shinlin Night Market after dinner but both meimei & I refused to co-operate. We were still feeling lazy, kept wanting to be carried. Daddy then decided to cancel the night market walk but Mummy went ahead to buy some supper as well as to check if there are any kids' clothings to buy. 2hrs later, Mummy returned back with so much food like Tou-Hua, Strawberry, Oyster Mee Sua, Sweet Potatoes Ball and we stayed in Esther's room to finish up before going back to our room to pack the luggage.

To the Zoo.....To the Zoo.....To the Zoo

Its visiting Taipei Zoo today. We took MRT from Ximen station to Zhongxiao Fuxing then change to Muzha line direct to Taipei Zoo station. It was convenient and fast, at 10am, we reached. But today seems to be a day of excursion for all the kindergarden children in Taiwan......there were a lot of them.

First stop is to visit the Panda Bear and luckily, the weather was cooling, so the Panda bears are at the outdoor exhibit so all of us managed to take a picture of them.

Then we took the train which costs us NT5 each up to the top of the zoo, and then begin our journey around the zoo.

We visited the Amphibian & Reptile House, Penguin House, saw a bear etc but then, its started to rain. We then took shelter at the antelopes viewing hut. When the rain becomes drizzle, we started to make our way out.
When we almost reached the exit, meimei coughed until she vomitted out her milk. Everyone visited the souvenir shop while waiting for Daddy & Mummy to clear the mess while. Then, we walked to the nearby Mall for our lunch and some arcade fun. Sadly, the Zoo Mall is closed or else it will be another day of theme park fun.
In the evening, Daddy & Mummy brought meimei to visit a doctor cos she's been coughing really badly these few days. Mummy is worried that there may be fluid in her lungs. I then stayed in Aidan's room and played with them until Daddy & Mummy returned back. Luckily, the doctor says meimei's lung is ok but will have to take medicine for her flu. At night, Mummy, Aunty HY & Aunty Catherine headed to WuFenPu for their shopping spree.

A day of Theme Park Fun

This morning, we woke up early cos we are heading to Window on China. Its far out in Taoyuan and we have to take MRT, followed by almost 1-hr bus ride to the Theme Park. The weather was good and we reached at about 10.30am.

Once into the Theme Park, we were greeted with miniature buildings, aeroplanes, cars etc. Do you know that the 133 miniature landmarks within the park are all perfectly presented on a 1 to 25 scale to the original building. Its a definite MUST GO if you are going to Taiwan!

After checking out some of the miniatures, its almost lunch time. We then headed filled our tummy with the Snack bar in the Indoor Theme Park. Then its off to play on all the rides. Outdoor rides include cute Strawberry Wheel, Little Pilot, Jumping Stars and many more.

After having enough fun in the outdoor theme park, its to the indoor theme park to try on the bumper cars, merry-go-round and all the various arcade games.

At 4pm, we quickly make our way out to the exit cos we had to catch the 4.10pm bus that will bring us back to the MRT station. When we reached back to Ximen Station, its was raining heavily. All of us then decide to have our dinner at the nearby Japanese Restaurant. Japanese food in Taiwan is really good and cheap. A very nice Bento Set only cost NT 200 which is like $9.00. Well, tonite's plan is to head to Xilin Night Market, luckily at 8pm, the rain stopped. Together with Uncle Jeffrey, Aunty Catherine and Aidan, we headed there via MRT. Esther and Cedric slept early so Uncle NS and Aunty HY came after both of them were in the dreamsland.

Back to Taipei

We woke up slightly later today cos there's no activity in the morning except for breakfast and checking out by 11am. We were booked on the 11.10am shuttle bus to bring us back to Hualien Train Station. Here's a group photo in SKCF before we board the bus. Bye Bye SKCF....we really had fun here!

Once we reached to the Train Station, Mummy quickly went to book our train tickets but the earliest one at 12.30pm is full. We got the 1pm instead which will be a 3-hrs journey back to Taipei. Since its gonna be a longer journey, the adults decided to book additional 2 child tickets so at least Esther, me and Aidan can share the seats together. Then while waiting for our train, Daddy & Uncle NS went to grab lunch for everyone. At 1pm, we boarded our train and off we go back to Taipei....

3hrs later, we reached Taipei Main Station and we arranged to meet Uncle Jeffrey there. He has just arrived into Taipei in the afternoon and his holiday with us just began today. Since Day 1, I have been asking Mummy, where is Uncle Jeffrey? Why is he not here yet? Remember the paper I wrote almost every other day on the names of the all the people who will be going to Taipei with me, Uncle Jeffrey's name was there but I dun see
him. Now I know why, he is only joining us today.
From the train station, we took a cab to Neijiang Hotel where we gonna spent 4 nights there.

After settling down, we took our bath and then its heading out to find dinner. Our hotel is very near Ximending, about 5mins walk only. Uncle Jeffrey knew the way around, so he brought us out to find dinner. Its a really cold night today....almost 14 degree I tik. After dinner together, we headed back to the hotel to grab more warm clothings and then its back to Ximending again to stroll.

Then, its back to hotel for an early night cos we are gonna spend 1-full day outside tomorrow to Windows on China. Looking forward to tomorrow.
