CNY 3rd Day

Another day of collecting angpows! Today is from my group of flends. Some of them I met almost every 2 weeks (like Athena, Esther, Rhyan, Gabriel) during playgroup;

some of them been at least 5 mos since we last met (like Kieran, Yingxin & Faye) and there's one never met him before (Ethan) cos he was overseas.

He was back for the CNY break and mummy took the chance to invite Aunty Karen & Ethan over for the gathering. It was fun having so many flends together, plus their daddies & mummies, you can imagine the noise, fun we had.....hahahha.

CNY 2nd Day

There is no plan for any visits today but we have a guest.....Aunty Jo dropped by with Johann didi. We played for a little while before heading to GongGong's house for lunch.

Erna jiejie had a toothache since last night and Yiyi brought her to NUH for a dentist checkup. After lunch at GongGong's house, we head to NUH to fetch them back. The dentist injected a painkiller into Erna jiejie's gum so she was ok for now but she has to remove the decayed tooth when the clinic opened on Wed. The hospital says there dun hve the X-ray facility to take pix of her gums.....

After dropping Erna jiejie & Yiyi home, we got home and bath too. Then we headed to Big Grandaunty's house cos everyone is there today. Erna jiejie didnt go cos Mummy wants her to rest since she didnt sleep well last night and she was also running a little temp.

I fell asleep on the way to Big Grandaunty's place and same thing, when I woke up at an unfamiliar, I will kept whinning and no choice, Daddy & Mummy got to take turns to take care of me while the other joined the rest in the gambling table. After Ah-Gong's last round of mahjong, we headed home.

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Its my 2nd year of taking ang pows......here's me last year. Look how much I have changed.

This year when I go visiting with Daddy & Mummy, I noe how to gongxi gongxi and give oranges to all the potential angpow givers. Haha

First stop is GongGong's place for vegetarian breakfast. Mummy says it has been a practice since Daddy & Mummy pa-toh together. She have to go to GongGong's house at 9.30am for vegetarian meal before heading elsewhere. And no meat till 12pm. Yati Jiejie fed me a bowl of rice, with toufu (again) and some beehoon as well......she also fed me a small bit of potato which makes me kept rubbing n squeezing my eyes. Mummy checked and realised that the potato was in fact cooked in chilli/tomato sauce, no wonder I was so uncomfy. Mummy quickly got me a cup of cold barley water (home-made) and its really help to put out the "fire" in my mouth...after a while, I was fine and back to my eating mood..

Next stop is Lau-Ma's place. I fell asleep on the way there and after a short 1 hr nap, I was up and about, collecting ang-pows and playing with all the CNY goodies on the table. The weather was really warm and humid and Daddy suggested going home to take a bath before heading to the next stop.

Last stop for the day is Grandaunty Doris's place. We reached at 5+. I mingled around with the adults for a little while, then Mummy brought me up to the 2nd storey for a nap. The adults were all screaming n shouting but I still managed to sleep. I slept only for a short while but becos it was an infamiliar place, I got up whinning away. Daddy & Mummy took turns to take care of me cos I simply refused anyone else.

After the last round of mahjong, all of us headed home....wat an eventful CNY! But, at least I got quite a bit of angpows. Daddy & Mummy say that I can spend it on my forthcoming trip to Japan.

New Pyjamas @ CNY Eve
Mummy got me a new pyjamas for CNY. Mummy says when she was young, grandmother always got her new pyjamas too. So, she is continuing the trend. She got one for herself and one for me. Daddy hmmm.....dun have any.

Reunion Lunch

We had reunion lunch at GongGong's hse instead of dinner cos Gugu have to go another place. MaMa and Yati prepared lotsa nice food, and also a pot of yummy soup. The adults had their meal in the dining table while Xavia & I had our meals in the living room. I got to eat toufu, fish again.....so boring right. Well, daddy fed me a little teeny weeny bit of abalone too. The adults ate and talk, while Xavia didi, Dylan, Jared korkor and Megan jiejie and me played with toys until 5pm before heading home to rest.

Reunion Dinner @

Its my 2nd reunion dinner...Yipee! I can get to eat all the yummy food. Well, becos we are having reunion dinner at GongGong's place tomorrow, Daddy & Mummy arranged for to eat with Ah-Gong and Yiyi today. Uncle Benjamin (Yi Yi's boyfriend) joined in the dinner this year too...

Mummy booked a table at Coca Steamboat Restaurant at The Concourse at 8pm. We were there early and the restaurant manager showed us to a private room....wow!! So cool, right!! But, I dun hve a baby-chair although Mummy hve told them to prepare one for me. Never mind lah, I am a big girl liao....can sit on the big adult chair without falling. Daddy & Mummy took turns to feed me toufu, meatball, rice, fried rice, fish.....

After filling up my tummy, I got restless liao. Needless to say, I got up and started to wander around the restaurant. I even befriended a little friend but he seems to be scared of me. Hahaha. He was even taller than me leh....am I so fierce-looking?? Well, dinner lasted till 10pm and we headed home. Looking forward to reunion dinner at GongGong's house tomorrow.

Our very-own Reunion Dinner

Daddy cooked up a western feast. Mummy called it the Surf & Turf. It has black pepper steak, with big tiger prawns, fried pasta and a bowl of asparagus soup w lotsa ingredients. I got to sample a small bit of the fried pasta. Yummy!!

A morning in the Pet Farm

Its a Sat, no playgroup today cos Mummy has to work.....but nevermind, I got loads of activity. After bathing and dressing up, Daddy & I met up with Uncle Steven and we headed to Pasir Ris for breakfast. Then, while waiting for another Uncle, Uncle Steven suggested going to a Pet Farm. Thats when the fun begins. The Pet Farm has lotsa of cats and dogs and I was having fun chasing them and Daddy was saying that it looks like I was scolding them......hahahah. Daddy promised to bring me there again. But, at 11am, we got to head home cos Daddy didnt bring my milk and I am due for my nap soon. Uncle Steven dropped us at a nearby bus-stop and we took Bus No 3 home. Really happening morning, hor. With all the activities, I had a good sound nap for 2 hours. By then, Mummy was back frm work. Daddy fed me lunch, while Mummy took her nap.

In the evening, Mummy suggested going to Chinatown via MRT. While we were in the train, Mummy suddenly decided to head to Plaza Singapura instead of she sensed that Daddy is not really interested in heading to a crowded, non-bb friendly place. We alighted at Dohby Ghaut station and had our dinner at Secret Receipe. Mummy shared with me her buttered rice and I tik I took at least half of her portion. After a stroll at John Little and Carrefour, we headed home.

By then, I was already fast asleep on Daddy's shoulder.

Lau-Ma, Happy Birthday!

Its paternal grandma's birthday today.....I dun how old she is cos they only put 1 candle in the cake. Well, we had the celebration at lau-gu house and all of us are supposed to bring along a food. And yes, Daddy & Mummy prepared their famous salad again. Easy to make too. We reached at 2+ and had our lunch, played with cousins Xavia & Aiden, take family photos, sang birthday song and headed home at 6pm. Before heading home, saw Mummy took some leftovers for dinner.....it was big crab but I tik I wun hve a chance to eat.

• Uncle Kevin led us with some yoga poses. We tried some new poses today - "Row Row Row a Boat"
• Mandarin Session by Aunty HY.
• Art & Craft - Colouring, Mummy printed a worksheet from the internet and is a little boy in Chinese tradition costumes. Mummy helped me with the colouring.

  Aunty Sherlyn flashes alphabets while we sang the ABC Song.
• Aunty Mel led us in the singing of Phonics Zoo

The Sun is Finally Out......

Finally, rain has stopped and the sun is back to work. And my clothes can be washed and dried.
Raining days are nice but too many raining days are gloomy.

Another whole day of raining....

Today is another public holiday - Hari Raya Haji. Yes, that means Daddy & Mummy are both not working. This morning, the weather was really cooling and shiok, feels like when I was in Perth but at 7.30am, I am already full of energy, so Daddy & Mummy hve no choice but to wake up too. *evil smile* Daddy made me my first feed followed by Mummy bringing me to the bathroom for my poo-poo business and bath. Then Daddy brought me down to Yiyi's place while Mummy stayed at home to clear the bed and take her bath. (Daddy went back to office for a short while).

The whole day was then spent lazing at home and reading books. After lunch at Yiyi's place @ 2pm, Daddy, Mummy & I went back home and took our afternoon naps together. At 3pm+, we are up and ready to go shopping for my CNY clothes. We headed to Raffles City and managed to get 2 dress.

After dinner at Cafe Cartel, we headed home.

RAINY DAY

Its raining since 3am last nite and now, while I am typing this at 11pm, is still raining. Dont the sky get tired dropping water for so long??

Well, Mummy attended her primary school friend (Aunty Grace) & kindergarden friend (Uncle Simon)'s wedding at Le Meridien today without me and Daddy. But nevermind, Daddy drove down to Plaza Singapura at about 8pm to shop while we waited for Mummy to finish her dinner. At 10.30pm, we picked up Mummy and headed home. Hope it stop raining tomorrow.

• Mummy tried to sing a "Xiao Mi Fen" Song but not successful.

Then Gabriel, Rhyan had their porridge while Esther, me and Athena had our milk. No long later, Rhyan & Esther left while Gabriel and Athena stayed on. We played for a while before headed to Punggol Plaza for lunch. Cant wait for the next session this Sat......Hope to see Justin & Quinn for the next lesson.

A Day to Hospital & Ikea

Its a Monday but its still a public holiday cos New Year Day falls on a Sunday. Daddy & Mummy are both not working (Yipee). So, we headed to the hospital to visit GongGong. He looks fine, just kept complaining that it is boring. No TV and no Wen Xuan (that's me) to play with him. Hahaha.

After having lunch and staying for about an hr, Mummy suggested going to Ikea to shop. When we reached to the place, I was already fast asleep. When I woke up, Daddy, Mummy & Erna jiejie were in a restaurant inside Ikea having drinks. I looked around and saw that there were people everywhere. I looked down to the road and saw a lot of cars queueing to go into the carpark.

We then moved towards the 1st floor of Ikea and started our shopping but it is just too crowded. Mummy took the items that are needed and we headed to the cashier.

Before we headed home, Daddy routed to Kia Motors (a carshop) to look at a new car. That car is really big like a giant. But I tik Mummy says she still prefer Honda. Well, for me....as long as can sit, can move, ok liao......hahahaha.

New Year Day

Grandaunty Doris organised a BBQ, swim (again) as well as mahjong session at her place today. And again, Daddy & Mummy brought along salad. This time round, the weather was nice. Daddy & I both changed to our swimsuits and hit for the pool. But its been so long since I hve swam, so I kept screaming when Daddy tried to put me into the water. After a few tries, Daddy gave up and brought me back to Grandaunty Doris's house for a bath. Then we joined the rest at the BBQ pit. Seeing that the food was not really enough, Daddy suggested going to Jln Kayu for prata with Mummy n me, of course.

A day in the Hospital

After we have ordered the food, Mummy got a phonecall from Aunty Shuming saying that GongGong has fainted. We then cancel our order, got our money back and rush back to Grandaunty house which is only 3mins drive. When we reached back, GongGong is awake but he looked really pale. A few blue uniform Uncle arrived (Daddy says they are Medics) and put a white balloon thing over GongGong's nose and mouth. Then a second later, GongGong vomitted and lucky Mummy got hold of a plastic bag. After that, GongGong looks better. But to play safe, Mummy says got to send GongGong to hospital. So Yiyi followed the ambulance while Daddy, Mummy, Erna jiejie and myself went in the car.

When we reached to the hospital, Yiyi's friend - Uncle Benjamin was also there with his mummy and stepfather. The hospital is really crowded. But I was too tired with all the commotion, I fell asleep. By the time I woke up, we were still in hospital. Heard Mummy says GongGong is alrite, needs to stay in hospital to do few tests. Yiyi stayed on to check on the ward that GongGong will be in while we headed home. A tiring day for everyone. Hope GongGong gets well and come back soon.
