Lawry's The Prime Ribs

This is my 2nd visit to Lawry's The Prime Ribs. Well, Daddy has this good "lobang" which is 1-for-1 Buffet lunch and the promotion is till 30 Sep.

So, Daddy suggested that we go there for Mummy's early birthday celebration. The buffet is from 11.30am to 4pm. Daddy & Mummy enjoyed their slow lunch till 3pm and I had my yummy chicken & prawn sandwiches with lotsa of tomatoes and for dessert, I have lotsa lotsa of small mini size grapes. After that, we headed to Takashimaya to get mooncake. It was very crowded but luckily, Daddy was only aiming at Bakerzin mooncakes so after getting a box of assorted snowskin (4 yams, 2 sweet potatoes & 2 red bean) from them, we headed back to the car.

But instead of heading home, we went to Compass Point cos Mummy havent buy my present for Erna jiejie yet. Mummy was thinking of getting a slippers for her as her current one is almost "koyak" liao. So, after shopping around Compass Point buying the slippers from Bata, buying a Starhub Top-Up Card (Ah Gong's gift to Erna jiejie), and Daddy getting 2 casual sports shorts for himself, we headed home.

While we were heading to the carpark, we met up with Yiyi. She has bought a lotsa of stuff, including a birthday cake for Erna jiejie. Its from Angie The Choice and its in the shape of a girl. Its looks really cute hor. The cake taste really nice and I had 1 slice all by myself. Here's wishing Erna jiejie a Happy Birthday and stay healthy always.

BBQ Steamboat at Marina Bay

Tomorrow is Erna jiejie's birthday but becos Daddy & Mummy have their own plans tomorrow, so they decided to go out for dinner celebration tonite instead. Last year, we went Swensen at Changi Airport. This year, Mummy suggested BBQ Steamboat at Marina Bay. So, after work, Daddy, Mummy, Ah Gong, Erna jiejie and me (of cos), we headed to Marina Bay (Yiyi met us there). There were 2 mains shops there but not knowing which one is good, Mummy just walked towards this "Chong Pang" which is nearest to our car. It cost $12 per adult and free for me. And everyone gets a free pontong ice-cream as dessert including me.

But, I didnt like the food so I entertained myself with the wooden toys which Yiyi just bought for me. These wooden animal puzzles are so fun and it can even stand on the stone chair.

After eating, we headed to the Superbowl nearby for a breeze of the aircon as it was really warm at the BBQ Steamboat area. Yiyi & Erna jiejie tried their hands on the racing car.....me too, with the help of Ah Gong.

By the time, we left the place, it was already 10.30pm. I tik Erna jiejie had a great birthday celebration.

**Cough....Ah Choo**

I have been coughing since Friday and my nose has been running since Saturday.....so today, after we have unpacked and rested a while, we headed to Dr Tay's clinic. And boy, I sure hate going to see him. I was screaming and crying throughout when he tried to examine me. Mummy was also sick (Thanks to my virus) so Dr Tay see her as well and she was given 2 days MC to rest. For this visit, Dr prescribed a cough med, a runny nose med, a fever med as well as an antibotic (yucks). Looks like I am going to "war" with Daddy & Mummy once I am home.

Austin Hill Golf Resort....here I come!

I have a date with Gabe & his family this weekend. Mummy has planned on a short getaway (2 days 1 nite) with them to Austin Hill Golf Resort in JB and at the same time to do some shopping. We arranged to meet downstairs our place at 9+, before heading to Woodlands checkpoint together. Mummy woke me up at 8am, and got Erna jiejie to bath me while she & Daddy got ready. At about 10am, both families met up and we headed straight to Woodlands...along the way, I fell asleep while Gabe was still wide awake and even wave to Daddy & Mummy...

As it was still early to check-in, we headed to City Square for lunch and shopping. This trip, Erna jiejie came along with us as Mummy wanted to let her buy some clothings to send back to Indonesia for her families for the forthcoming Hari Raya. Mummy feels that buying from Malaysia is better as Erna jiejie can buy more stuff with the same amount of $$ in SIN. After parking our car at City Sq, we headed to a coffee shop nearby for lunch, then is shopping time.....

While the adults were busy shopping, Gabe & I had fun playing. After staying at City Sq for about 5hrs and paying carpark fee of RM 10, we headed for Austin Hill Golf Resort which is about 25mins drive away. At 4+, we arrived into the resort and the whole place is so huge....even the room is so huge. Mummy booked 2 x Suite I which cost RM 200 per nite per room and it can sleep almost whole classroom of 20 toddlers. We got 2 rooms side-by-side and there is even a connecting door. And the walkway to the room are also so big and its filled with lotsa artwork, machiam like in a museum.

And our rooms were pool-facing, so shiok! But hor, I cant swim, not becos Mummy forget to pack my swimming costumes but becos I am feeling sick. I had been coughing the night before and running slight fever. So Uncle Ben, Aunty Kellyn (Gabe's Ah Mai) & Gabe headed for the pool while I played in the room. After 25mins or so, gabe came back to the room, changed and we headed to Gabe's granduncle shop for dinner. It was another 20mins drive away but the food was yummy and Daddy says its definitely worth it.....Daddy enjoyed the chilli sotong, choo-choo and the Chentol dessert the most, for me, I was feeling really uncomfy liao with the nose now runny as well and the cough that I was clinging to Daddy most of the time. After makan, we headed to Carrefour (which is near the resort) for grocery shopping. We spent a lot of $$ here cos Daddy bought 10 packs of my milk powder (which is about S$3 savings per pack) and lotsa of other stuff. Then we headed back to the resort. I had my med, took my bath and Gabe came over to play for a while before we finally head back to our respective room for sleep.

But hor, I am still feeling really lousy as the phlegm is making me so uncomfortable that I woke up almost every 2 hours crying and of cos disturbing Daddy & Mummy. At 4am, Mummy finally realised that I may be hungry cos I didnt eaten much during the day, decided to make milk for me n thereafter, I fell asleep thru'out till 8am.

At 8+, Mummy woke me up, fed me milk (Mummy only brought 2 feeds, luckily Aunty Kelly bought more for Gabe, so I ka-po 200ml from him), Erna jiejie bath me then we headed downstairs to the Sun Cafe for breakfast.

As it was still early to check-out, we headed to the bowling alley in the resort for a game. Gabe & I even get to play....so fun.

At 1pm, we finally checked-out, and headed towards our lunch place. But Gabe & I had so much fun playing that we KO during lunch. I believed the adults must hve enjoyed the food without us fussing around....hahaha. After lunch, we headed for the checkpoint. After 45mins of "queueing", we finally arrived into Singapore at 4pm. Home sweet Home!!This short trip is definitely fun although I am not feeling well. Mummy says she will plan more of such short getaway with Aunty Kelly.......next destination will be either Desaru, Gentings or Bintan.

"Head-to-Head" Collision w Mummy....

Mummy is working the midnite shift this week and she got home at 12.30am. I am still wide awake. Dun ask me why but I just dont feel tired. After Mummy has taken her bath, we stayed in bed to watch my fav Barney VCDs. Daddy was already dozing off. At about 1am, Mummy says its getting really late and we got to OFF the lights. I got myself snuggle in between Daddy & Mummy. But I feel the position is not really comfy, so I sit up and while I tried to aim back to my pillow, I end up hitting Mummy's head and both of us were in great pain. I was so shocked that I started crying but it was so painful that it was like 20 seconds later, before I burst out the yells. Daddy got a startle upon hearing me and carried me up and sayang me....not long later, I fell asleep on his shoulder with a swollen bump near my eyes. Its really a big "bun" so Daddy & Mummy took turns to apply cold pressure (ice wrapped in kitchen towels) on the bump and I must say it helped cos this morning, when I woke up, it was ok liao.

Its a Monday.....

But Daddy & Mummy are both on leave today. (Yipee). Daddy always say that I have this really "xin-fu" look if I woke up and both Daddy & Mummy are beside me. After sleeping so late last nite, I refused to get up when both Daddy & Mummy disturbed me at 10am. But after much pestering, I finally got up from bed at 10.30am. And after changing, we headed to Sun Plaza cos Mummy has an appointment to see Dr Ang. Meimei is growing well inside Mummy and her current weight is 2kg, with head circumference at 29cm. Dr says Meimei is on the higher percentile so he did another swap test on Mummy. But, even after a plate of chee cheong fun, the reading says 5.7 (below 7.0). Hmm, it means Mummy really has no GD for this 2nd pregnancy and she is so happy. But, she says she will still watch her diet. After the checkup, we headed to GongGong's house cos Tutti jiejie is going back to clean up the place. But, GongGong says he is meeting his friend, so Tutti jiejie followed us. Next stop is Eunos Carmart. Daddy has been comparing the price of Honda Stream with a few dealers and noted that this place offers the most reasonbable deal, so he decided to sign liao. And we will be collecting our new car - Honda Stream 1.8 by mid-Dec.

After all the signing of documents, its almost tea-time and Mummy is feeling hungry. So we headed to Bedok Central for some food. Then is off to the final stop - Downtown East to sign up for my birthday party celebration. Yes, I am having a birthday party this year, a much smaller scale compared to last year. Friends, look out for my invitation. After all the fun, we headed back to GongGong's place to drop off Tutti jiejie.....then is home sweet home. But, I had not had my afternoon nap so while on the way back, I knocked out.....but the moment Daddy tried to put me on my bed when we are home, I started crying and refused to be on my own. So, Mummy decided to give me my bath and hopefully I will have an early sleep since I only took 30mins of nap. Well, looking forward to the next off day of Daddy & Mummy.

Sunday....17th Sep

With the busy & tiring day yesterday, I finally woke up only at 11am today. But Daddy was not home when I woke up. Mummy told me that Daddy had gone back to office to settle some stuff. After Tutti jiejie bathed and changed me, Mummy got her to help bring out all my 0-3, 3-6 months clothes while I entertained myself with Barney VCDs. Mummy says its time to get ready meimei's clothings as she will be out in about 6 weeks time. So fast hor......I can see meimei in about 6 weeks. She has been kicking Mummy a lot lately and I cant wait for her to be out so we can play and watch Barney together. Mummy says she tends to kick more when I am watching Barney VCDs. Looks like she like Barney too.

For lunch, Daddy packed food back for everyone (we had it at Yiyi's place) and I shared a packet of chicken rice with Yiyi. Then it back home for an afternoon nap but I was not tired, so while Daddy & Mummy took their short nap, I played by myself in their room (Tutti jiejie was busy moping floor and cleaning the place). Then at about 4pm, we headed for Leng Kee Carmall as Daddy wants to check out another dealer for the Honda Stream. By then, I was really feeling tired and fell asleep in the car.

After checking out the dealer's quote, it was almost dinner time liao. So, we headed to the nearby Tiong Bahru Market for dinner. Its our first time there since it reopen. Daddy & Mummy had Fried Guotiao, Fried Hokkien Mee, Fried Oyster and Chee Kueh while Tutti jiejie had Nasi Lemak. I had some of the Fried Hokkien Mee. After makan, its home sweet home.

Mummy has planned a lot of activities for me today.....

First of all, its breakfast at Compass Point and its with everyone in the family. There's Ah Gong, Yiyi, Erna jiejie, Tutti jiejie, Uncle Mark and of cos, Daddy & Mummy. We headed to Macdonald and Mummy ordered breakfast for everyone and I tik it cost her about $30. I had my Happy Meals pancakes. After breakfast, Daddy, Mummy and Yiyi went to POSB bank to settle some stuff while the rest of us walked around the Atrium.

Next stop is The Grassroots Club at Yio Chu Kang. Uncle Mark & Yiyi had booked 2-lanes for a game of bowling with Daddy. Erna jiejie and Tutti jiejie got to play 2 games each too. For me, I had fun playing at the corridor area, looking at fishes and with the arcade games before joining Daddy & the rest.

After having 4 games each except for Tutti & Erna jiejie (who shared 2 each), we headed to AMK Central for lunch while Yiyi and Uncle Mark headed elsewhere for their date. Therefafter, we headed to our next stop - 5th Grandaunty's place at Seletar Springs. Uncle Gerald & Aunty Shuming are leaving to London for a good 2 years and this gathering is a farewell getogether for them. Grandaunty booked the function room, karoke room as well as 2 BBQ pits for the event. By the time we reached there, the weather was looking gloomy but Daddy decided to still head to the pool with me before its rains.

After 30mins of playing in the pool, I was out and Tutti jiejie changed me while Erna jiejie helped out at the BBQ area. And not long later, it started to rain. Timing just nice...hehehe. While we stayed cosy at the function room (Mummy was taking turns to play mahjong with Ah Gong), Daddy & me stayed in the reading room to read newspaper. After a few rounds, Daddy play mahjong while Mummy entertained me in the reading room.....

And thank God, by 6+, the rain subside to small drizzle and the BBQ continues. But Mummy was worried that there will be mozzies around, so we stayed in the function room while we got Erna jiejie & Tutti jiejie to BBQ some food for us. While we were waiting, we also headed to the Karoke room for some songs....

Then, at 10pm, all of us started packing up and headed home.........Well, before I pen off, here's wishing Uncle Gerald & Aunty Shuming bon voyage and have a great 2 years in London. Keep in touch with me and check out my developments thru this blog. I will miss you.....

An Uneventful Sunday....

This morning, Daddy, Mummy & I woke up rather late. After changing, we headed to Takashimaya cos Mummy wants to show Daddy her birthday gift - Gucci handbag. Daddy bought for Mummy a LV wallet 2 years ago when she was expecting me so this year, she was expecting an expensive one again from Daddy for holding meimei for 9 months......so before Daddy ended up buying the wrong item, Mummy decided to show Daddy what she like. By the time we reached to Taka, it was about 2pm liao....so we walked around the basement area to get our late lunch. We had some sushi, some fried food, popian, pancakes and tim su m. Then, we headed to LV boutique but Mummy found nothing she like, so we walked to Gucci and while Mummy browse thru the display items, I entertained myself by going up and down the shelve. After that, we headed home. But before that, we headed to Rivervale Mall to get some potatoes and bacons as Daddy wanted to cook the steak that he bought last week from Carrefour and Mummy was tiking of making baked potatoes. And here's me helping with the basket.

Once home, we headed to the master bedroom for our afternoon nap or I should say evening nap cos it was already 5+ but it was pouring really heavy...best for a nap. By the time I woke up, it was already 8+ and I just poo. Daddy changed me and noted that my poo was very much watery. Looks like I am having diarrhoea but no other symptons. Mummy checked the fridge and found out that I dun hve any more diarrhoea med, so Daddy and Mummy decided to head to Dr Leslie Tay's clinic before he closed.

At Dr Tay's clinic, I was very much agitated when he tried to take my temp. Then, it got worse when he wanted me to lie on my back so he can hear my tummy. But I simply refused to co-operate. I cling on tightly to Daddy thru'out the session. screaming away. Dr Tay tried to make me co-operate by making me a doggie balloon but I refused to "buy" it. When the checkup is done and when we were leaving the clinic, Dr Tay handed Daddy the figurine balloon but I got upset and took the balloon from Daddy and returned it back to Dr Tay....much to Dr Tay's disappointment I would say....hahaha.

Anyway, by the time we got home, it was already 10+ and Daddy & Mummy have not had their dinner. After settling me (as in feeding me the med), then Daddy got time to cook up the steak. They had a really late dinner...or shld I say supper. But it was a really yummy steak and the baked potatoes was also very nice, according to Mummy's praise to Daddy. I had none just diluted milk for the nite. Wat an uneventful day hor....but I noe next Sat wl be filled with more activities....look out for my updates.

Eventful Saturday....

I woke up really early today as in 9am compared to my usual 11am on weekdays, although I slept only at 1am. Well, heard from Mummy that today gonna be a busy day cos we have a few places to go. But since I woke up early, Daddy, Mummy decided to head to the coffee shop opp our house for a simple breakfast. We asked Ah Gong and Erna jiejie along too. After makan, we headed home and Erna jiejie bath me and got me dressed up for the next event....we are going to United Square @ Globatrotters cos my friend - Faye is celebrating her birthday party.

But hor, I tell you.....the dress I wore today is by force. I always prefer to wear jeans and top cos easier to run around mah. But Mummy insists that I wear dress today and besides no much mileage liao cos I am growing taller. The last height measured last week is 85cm. Mummy says if by 2 years old, I am still at this height, I should be 85 x 2 = 170cm at adulthood. Thats tall......hor.

Ok, back to the weekend activity....we reached United Sq at 12.15pm and birthday girl - Faye and her parents have just arrived. And I met up with lotsa of friends too....there are Athena, Luke, Yingxin, Justin, Gabriel, Ryan and Rhyan. Inside globetrotters, there is a playroom and before the makan start, I had my fun inside but was pretty much clingy to Daddy most of the time. (Ya, not the usual me....but I was sleepy lah). After a while, makan start and there is even a lower table set up for the little friends of Faye but I refused to sit on it....so that explains why I am sitting with Daddy eating my nuggets. But after Faye has cut her yummy strawberry cake, I was more willing to sit on the table with my friends but Daddy must be there lah.....After the cake-cutting session, we left the place at 2pm.

Faye's 2nd Birthday Bash @ Globetrotters

We headed to Sim Lim Tower first cos my DVD player (my all-time friend) is spolit. Daddy was hoping that he can find a repair shop but most of the shops there only sells but not repair....so after walking to a few shops, we decided to check out with Uncle Seng for the warranty first. By then, I was already very sleepy so I knocked out while Daddy carry me. We then headed to our next stop.....Nokia Repair Centre at Wheelock Place. Erna jiejie's new 6070 phone has spoilt, her screen does not display any picture but luckily, its still under warranty. But the queue was really long. Mummy reached there at 3.30pm and the queue then was 139 and we are given 185....got about 70mins of waiting time. Mummy & Daddy decided to head to Borders (I was still sleeping). After a short while later, I woke up and found myself at a corner at the Children's Section and Mummy read me a few books. Then, a few ladies from Julia Gabriel led a story-telling session and singing session too. It was fun. At 4.30pm, we left Borders and headed back to Nokia Service Centre and was told that the phone will be ready tomorrow. By then, Mummy was feeling hungry, so we headed to Sakae Sushi for an early dinner.

Then, we headed to Eunos Carmart cos Daddy wants to show Mummy & me the new Honda Stream which he will be getting soon. Daddy says we need a bigger car now cos meimei is coming out soon and with Tutti jiejie, we will definitely need a more-seater car. And Daddy oso wants to make sure that Mummy is comfortable driving such big car. For me, as long as it can bring me from Pt A to Pt B, I happy liao. Then while we were about to leave the place, Aunty Kelly send Mummy an SMS to check if we want to meet up at Changi Airport. Seeing that its still early (7.30pm), we agreed and headed to Airport T2 to meet up with them. And Gabriel was so happy to meet me that he kept hugging me….makes me so shy. Well, we had so much fun running around the Viewing Mall that we refused to go. But, Gabriel was saying that he wants to eat cakes, so our Mummies/Daddies decided to head to Polar café for cakes and drinks. And before we left the airport, we spotted a water feature near MacDonalds and both of us were climbing and sticking our hands into it…..so fun. Looking forward to meeting Gab & his family again....

Busy Sunday......

After waking up at 9+, Mummy says its gonna be a busy day for us today cos we have lotsa places to go. 1st stop, we headed to someone's house at Bedok North Road cos Mummy want to check out a baby cot which a Aunty is selling away. We need to get one to put at GongGong's house cos the old one which I used to sleep on is kinda dirty and rusty. After viewing the item (which Mummy didnt confirm cos the price was above budget), we headed for our Sunday brunch. Again.....we are going to a place which www.chubbyhubby.net has recommended. This makan place is called Graze and is inside Rochester Park, near Buona Vista MRT.

We managed to get ourselves an indoor seat and Daddy ordered a cast iron plate which has sausages, baked beans, tomatoes, bacons, mushroom and fried egg. Mummy ordered an omelette special with 4 choice of toppings (mushroom, bacons, small potatoes and sausage) and Mummy got for me a set of toasted white bread. Well, while Daddy & Mummy enjoyed their Sunday brunch, I entertained myself eating my bread, doing funny faces when Mummy tried to take my pix, drawing on my mini drawing block and playing with the buckle on my baby-chair.

After the hearty brunch, it was already about 1.30pm. We decided to head towards GongGong's house. But before that, we dropped by Baby Kingdom at Shun Li Industrial Complex to check out playpen for meimei. Mummy & Daddy saw one that is rather good but it cost $99. They wanted to check out a few more places and also to wait for JohnLittle or Robinsons Sale. Anyway, meimei will not be out till about 8 weeks from now....still got time.

We finally reached GongGong's house at about 3+. Thanks to Tutti jiejie, GongGong house is so much cleaner now. Daddy tried to make me sleep but I was not tired leh.....so after Tutti jiejie has taken her bath, all of us headed to Carrefour @ Suntec. After getting all the necessary groceries, we headed to Muthu Curry for an early dinner. I remembered I came here before, so that explains my pose when Mummy tried to take my pix.

Anyway, do I look nice with my new haircut??

Well, the adults had the usual fish head curry and masala chicken while I am satisfied with just a bowl of white rice and crackers. Then its home sweet home. After dropping off GongGong and Tutti jiejie at LorAhSoo, we headed home for an early nite.

Weekend is here again.....

After waking up at 9am and changing out from my pyjamas, we head to GongGong's house cos we are picking him up for breakfast. Mummy has been visiting this website : www.chubbyhubby.net and the Uncle who write this website has recommended this tim-sum outlet at Sunshine Plaza and Mummy decided to give it a try. We reached Sunshine Plaza at about 11.30am, expecting to have no place to sit but all the tables around the shop - Victor's Kitchen were empty but filled with plates that are uncleared. We found a place to sit and while Mummy made the orders, Daddy went to the nearby "Cheers" Mart to draw money. This place only takes cash payment. Mummy ordered quite a lot of food like prawn dumpling, siew mai, porridge, chee cheong fun, charsiew bun, chicken with sesame oil, fried wantan, fried springrolls. Daddy's comment on the food is good, yummy and worth the price. If you ask me, I enjoy the porridge most....got the same standard as Crystal Jade but cheaper. After makan, we headed to Hougang Green.

Mummy has employed another helper. Her name is Tutti jiejie and she will be staying at GongGong's house most of the time until meimei is borned which is like 8 weeks from now. Mummy signed the necessary documents and we headed back to GongGong's house. While GongGong, Mummy and Tutti jiejie went up to the house, Daddy brought me for a haircut. Mummy has been complaining that my hair looks like a mop, so got to get professional help. But I simply hate haircuts .....yes, Daddy had a hard time carrying me while the Aunty tried to trim my hair. Thankfully, all is done after a few mins and we returned back to GongGong's house for a bath. And after Mummy has given Tutti all the necessary instructions, Daddy, Mummy & I headed home....cos its time for my nap.

After waking up from my nap at 6plus, Mummy told me that Gabriel is coming by to play with me tonite.....yipee! I can show him my new toys. But before that, Daddy, Mummy, Ah Gong and Erna jiejie, of course myself too....we headed to Compass Point for our dinner. We had KFC for dinner. I shared a piece of chicken with Daddy and I self-fed the whipped potato....yummy.

Then, we headed to Four Leaves Bakery to get some mini breads. Just then, Mummy realised that she has missed out on an SMS. Aunty Kelly had said that they are arriving at 8.40pm and at that time, when Mummy read the message, it was already 8.40pm and we are just going to the carpark......we got everyone into the car and Daddy sped home. And in about 8 mins, we managed to reach home and Uncle Ben, Aunty Kelly, Edward and Gabriel who had been waiting for us at the carpark, were just walking towards our lift lobby.

Anyway, I had fun with Gabriel in my room, watching Barney VCDs, drawing on the huge mahjong papers, running round and round, while our daddies and mummies were busy chit-chatting away. But hor, bb Edward like not very co-operative (maybe cos no one to play with him), he was still crying even after Aunty Kelly has fed him and changed him. So no choice.....at about 11pm, they started packing up and Aunty Kelly promised to bring Gabriel over to play again....Mummy also says that we can go over Gabriel's place. After they left, I had my milk and finally fell asleep after watching Barney on the free DisneyChannel on SCV.
