19th May - Lillydale Farmstay

After breakfast, we went for our pony-ride. Athena & Irvin went along first, followed by us. Farmer Doug led the bigger pony that I was riding while Aunty Trin guided meimei's one. It was a long 30mins pony-riding down the end of the farm for each of us and it cost only A$40 in all. Very worth it, right?

For the late morning activity, we went hiking to the cave at the other far end of the farm, cutting through the
big field where the cows grazed but you must be careful cos there's cow dung everywhere.....heehe. Meimei enjoys the walk cos she spotted lotsa of beautiful yellow flowers along the way. We took a group picture at the top of the cave before making our way back to the farm.

For lunch, its maggie noodles which we brought from home....yummy!!.and then its more pecan-nut picking. We really enjoy collecting the pecan nuts that has fallen down from the trees. Its so fun! The next activity we plan for ourselves is fishing but before that, Uncle K, Aunty M, Athena & Irvin are heading for their tractor ride. We are not really interested so we waited for them in the room.

We didnt managed to catch any fish (which is ok) cos our daddies brought us out on a fishing boat - a nice experience - just 4 kids and 2 daddies....while the mummies waited for us at the jetty. We paddle around the small lake and make it back in time for the afternoon feed session at 4pm.

For dinner, instead of BBQing, we decide to order from the farm. The adults have their wagyu beef pie with rice while we have our kids' meals of chicken nuggets and french fries. Dessert is macademia nut tart for the adults and vanilla ice-cream for the kids.
Another full day in the farm...yipee! We woke up early cos we have to be ready by 8.30am for the morning feed. Farmer Doug brought us around to the chicken coops to feed the chickens, collect the eggs, feed the wallabies (shorty), pig (Oinky), lamb (nemo)....but still no sign of the donkeys (pedro lucy). Farmer Doug even gave us a one big pumpkin....hmm, wonder what are we gonna do with it?

After the morning animal feed, we went to the trampolin to have some fun while Daddy gets himself busy at the BBQ area cooking our breakfast of bacons, hams and sausages.
